The Freedom of Information Act 1982 establishes an Information Publication Scheme for Australian Government agencies. The IPS requires agencies to publish a broad range of information on their websites.
The VRB is also required to publish an Information Publication Plan that explains how it intends to implement the IPS. Aspects of the IPS are:
- Agency plan
- Who we are
- What we do
- Our reports and responses to Parliament
- Routinely requested information and disclosure log
- Consultation arrangements
- Other information
- Contact us
Under section 8(2)(j) of the FOI Act, VRB has an obligation to publish its operational information. Many VRB documents are also available for viewing through our website.
Should you require access to documents that have been released under the FOI Act, these may be available (subject to some exceptions) and accessed through the VRB FOI Disclosure Log.
