Time limits

It is important that you understand time limits.

The time limits for applying for a review are very strict.

The time limit depends on the decision type that you want reviewed.

You should check the decision letter to find out what the time limit is to lodge an application for review.

We have no power to extend the time limit to apply for a review.

Decision made on or after 21 April 2025

Usually, for decisions made on or after 21 April 2025 you must apply for a review by the VRB 12 months after you receive the decision.

Decision made before 21 April 2025

Usually, for decisions made before 21 April 2025 you must apply for a review:
