This special issue of VeRBosity is intended as a guide to practice and procedure at the Veterans'
Review Board (VRB). It is designed primarily for the assistance of pension officers and
representatives who prepare and present cases at the VRB, and applicants to the VRB.
This Handbook deals with the procedural matters, the role and responsibilities of representatives,
and the structure of the relevant determining systems. In addition, the Handbook outlines the main
legal requirements for the pensions, compensation, and other benefits over which the VRB has
jurisdiction under the Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986 (VEA) and Military Rehabilitation and
Compensation Act 2004 (MRCA).
